The main menu at The Engine Room is packed with bold, seasonal dishes perfect for grazing with friends or diving into solo. Start with small plates like crispy pork crackling puffs or gooey mac ‘n’ cheese balls, ideal for passing around the table. Our hand-stretched pizzas and generous charcuterie board are made for grazing, while the grill takes centre stage with standout options like our juicy cheeseburger, in-house smoked bavette steak with chimichurri, and the showstopping pork tomahawk. Finish with an indulgent pudding such as sticky toffee pudding or our standout strawberry Eton mess. With plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, everyone’s welcome at the table. Our drinks list features delicious cocktails, a standout wine selection, and plenty of beers, ciders and spirits that perfectly pair with the food.

The Engine Room is located on Riverlights Boulevard in the heart of Derby city centre, just metres from the River Derwent and next to the Holiday Inn. We’re surrounded by the buzz of the city, Derbion shops and the convenience of the main bus station, we’re perfectly placed for a relaxed meal, a night out, or a pre-theatre bite to eat.
There’s plenty of local parking available in the area, including at Derbion and NCP Siddals Road.
